Our experience

Experienced Finance Trainers work for Financial Fluency

We have expertise in all areas of finance from finance basics to advanced financial reporting and tax. In particular, we specialise in making finance relevant and interesting to both financial and non-financial staff.

Our presenting team has experience working with both the public and private sectors, from large multinational organisations to sole traders. All our presenters are experts in their field and each have at least a decade and usually considerably more of training experience.

We have worked for and provided training to global accountancy firms, magic circle law firms, major banks, financiers, traders, manufacturers, retailers, service businesses and government bodies.

We have a diverse pool of authors for our online courses who are recognised experts in a variety of professions. Our online training is largely focused on finance professionals, although it is accessible to professionals on other disciplines.

Ai Khim Tuang is an organisational psychologist and a data analyst, she has spent over seven years analysing numbers and business trends for eBay Asia and Europe. Prior to this, she spent four years providing B2B e-sourcing consultation services to major corporate clients such as Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson, BP, ExxonMobil, and Intel in Asia. She is now a curator at PurpleBeach, advising clients on how to build a metrics focused approach in their people or business transformation initiatives.

Alan Lewin qualified as a chartered accountant in 1982 with Touche Ross (now Deloitte) in Leicester. Alan left accountancy practice in 1985 to start a career in lecturing and then consultancy. He initially worked for Chart Tutors (now Kaplan) running one of their examination centres, then moved back to Deloitte’s audit training department and then in 1996 established his own training company. Alan now specialises in writing and teaching the subjects of auditing, corporate governance, money laundering and information system strategy.

She became Publishing Manager for the tax and accounting portfolio in 2001 and later went on to help run CCH Seminars (including ABG Courses and Conferences).

Sarah originally worked for the Inland Revenue in Newbury and Swindon Tax Offices, before moving out into practice in 1991. She has worked for both small and Big 5 firms, and now works as a freelance author providing technical writing services for the tax and accountancy profession.

Tony Austin FCA has been a Chartered Accountant and tax specialist for over 30 years of which nearly 20 years were as tax partner with BDO and Mazars, where he specialised in advising charities on direct taxation matters particularly those relating to trading, Gift Aid and other tax effective giving and the establishment and running of trading subsidiaries. Through his work with the Charities’ Tax Group, he is involved in the consultation process with HMRC on the application and reform of tax legislation affecting the not for profit sector.
